Anchorage Engagement Session / / Taylor + Tyler

I had the pleasure of photographing Taylor and Tyler's engagement session. Taylor is in the process of relocating to Alaska, so she and Tyler wanted their session to be in a location that showed off their soon to be home in Anchorage. We decided on Point Woronzof since it has gorgeous mountain views and views of the city. Seriously, this session makes me feel so thankful to be a photographer in Alaska. It’s such a beautiful place to be.

When we arrived at the location, the lighting and appearance of the sky were amazing! The only downside was that it was alarmingly windy. Alarmingly windy might even be an understatement. We started off in the trees at Point Woronzoff Park and then headed down to the beach.

Thankfully once we got down to the water, there was surprisingly less wind than where our cars were parked. The wind added a carefree touch to the images, and I think "bad weather" is actually super romantic. It also helped that Taylor and Tyler were such troopers about the weather.

They were both total naturals and were completely comfortable in front of the camera. They met in Texas at college, and they are just too cute!  Taylor is seriously stunning, and they make such a picture perfect couple. Their wedding will be taking place next year in Texas and it's going to be absolutely gorgeous. I'm so excited for them!
Taylor and Tyler - Thank you so much for letting me photograph such an amazing time in your lives and for braving the crazy weather. :)
